Services

What we do, and which one you probably need

Eight services, one crew list. Most people arrive knowing roughly what they want; this page is for the ones who do not, and for the ones who have been quoted for the wrong thing elsewhere.

The rest of it

These three sit alongside the main services rather than standing on their own. They are priced as part of the move they belong to.

Packing and handling

Three ways to do it. We pack everything, we pack the awkward half — kitchen, glassware, pictures, anything that will make you swear — or we drop materials off a week early and you do it at your own pace.

Materials are double-walled cartons, wardrobe boxes that keep hanging clothes on their hangers, tissue and bubble for the breakables, and blankets for the furniture. If you are packing yourself, fill boxes to the top and keep them liftable. Half-full boxes crush and heavy ones split, and both of those happen in the van rather than in your hallway.

Unpacking is available too, though most people would rather do that part themselves with the kettle on.

Storage between moves

Completion dates rarely line up neatly. Containerised storage covers the gap — your things go into their own container, inventoried as they go in, and stay there until you are ready.

Because we load it, we can load it usefully: the things you will want first go in last. If you are storing for a while, tell us roughly how long and whether you will need access, because that changes how we pack the container.

It also works for the other situation — downsizing, or a house move where the new place is smaller and some of the furniture needs somewhere to sit while you decide.

Family and first-time moves

A first move out of a family home, or out of a shared house in Gillingham into a first flat, is a small job with a lot of unknowns attached. We will walk you through the bits nobody tells you: when to book, what to pack first, what the landlord or agent is going to want, and how long the whole thing realistically takes.

Growing families are the other end of the same service. More furniture, a loft that has quietly filled up, and a date that has to work around school. We plan around the date you cannot move rather than the one that suits us.

Where do the European moves sit?

On their own hub. Road removals from Gillingham to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal work differently enough — customs, routing, load consolidation — that they get their own pages. Start at the European removals hub, or go straight to the country you are moving to.

Still not sure which one you need?

Describe the move in your own words. We will tell you which service it is and what it involves — and if it is smaller than you thought, we will say that too.
